Set Sail on the Ultimate Hens, Bucks… or HUCKS Celebration with Saltwater Eco Tours

Planning a Sunshine Coast wedding?

First of all, excellent choice. Now let’s talk pre-wedding celebrations.

Whether you’re throwing a hen’s, a bucks, or going full HUCKS (we love a joint party moment), you deserve something more memorable than a bar tab and a group text.

Ahoy!

Step aboard their beautifully restored 116-year-old sailing vessel and cruise the sparkling waterways of Mooloolaba with your favourite people. With tours and private charters made for celebrating, this is the vibe for couples who want to do something a little different. Think laid-back luxury, salty breezes, and the kind of experience your guests will talk about long after the last wedding toast.

But this isn’t just any boat party. Saltwater Eco Tours is proudly owned and operated by a local family (Simon and Jenna), and its tours are all about connection—to each other, to culture, and to Country.

Every charter is thoughtfully infused with local storytelling by Simon, bush-tucker flavours and a deep respect for the beautiful Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi sea country you’re sailing on.

Come hungry – and thirsty!

There is a huge focus on sustainable, local produce, so you can expect grazing boards and bites that are not only delicious but thoughtfully curated with care for both people and planet. From juicy Mooloolaba King Prawns drizzled with bush tomato and bush lemon sauce, to fish tacos bursting with mango, Davidson Plum and pineapple, and flaky Bunya Nut pastries filled with Warrigal greens and river mint, Chef Skye’s creations are a true celebration of native flavours.

Your taste buds are in for an unforgettable ride!

Is there a licensed bar, I hear you ask? Absolutely — fully stocked with beer, wine, spirits, and a creative lineup of signature cocktails infused with native botanicals and sustainably sourced seasonal ingredients. Think Native Chilli Margaritas (with secret ingredient, Davidson Plum & Chilli sauce!) and signature Wattleseed Espresso Martini’s as the sun dips below the horizon. With resident bartender Kieran behind the bar whipping up creations that look almost too pretty to drink (almost!), you’ll be saying “Yes, please” before your first sip.

A great wedding welcome!

When you’re hosting a destination wedding on the coast, Saltwater Eco Tours is a brilliant way to welcome your guests before the big day — or wind down after it all with a cruise that feels more like a soul-nourishing celebration than a standard pre- or post-wedding catch-up.

So if you’re ready to kick off your wedding celebrations with a group outing that sets the tone and shows your guests a side of the Sunshine Coast they’ve likely never seen before, let Saltwater Eco Tours turn your special celebration into an unforgettable voyage. Whether it’s a Sunset Cruise, a Bush Tucker Cruise, or a custom charter, your dream celebration awaits—just bring your loved ones and prepare to sail into unforgettable memories.

p.s. You can even elope aboard with Saltwater Eco Tours. Imagine saying “I do” as the sun rises behind Point Cartwright, the sails full and the ocean calm — intimate, meaningful, and utterly unforgettable. Reach out to the team for more details!
