Collaborations & Community
At Saltwater Eco Tours, collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We are proud to foster meaningful relationships with First Nations makers, local producers, artists, and creatives to build a business rooted in community, sustainability, and cultural connection.
By choosing to support Saltwater Eco Tours, you’re also supporting a growing family of passionate, local innovators who share our commitment to Country, culture, and ethical practices.
First Nations Businesses
We proudly incorporate a rich variety of First Nations products and ingredients throughout our tours—from food to art, design, and storytelling. Each element reflects our commitment to authenticity, community, and cultural respect.
- My Dilly Bag – A trove of native ingredients and cultural inspiration, many of which feature in our Bush Tucker menu. Visit their Forest Glen store to explore their full range.
- House-made Syrups – Crafted with locally foraged native botanicals including lemon myrtle, Davidson plums, finger limes, and more—used in our mocktails and cocktails.
- Sobah Beers & Jarrah Boy – We proudly serve these two exceptional, Indigenous-owned beer brands on our drinks menu. Each brew is purpose-driven, culturally grounded, and delicious.
- Bakarindi & Kakadu Tucker – Their incredible dukhas, relishes, and sauces bring bold, native flavours to our dishes, elevating every bite.
- SevGen Galeru Bushtucker Farm – An Indigenous-led initiative providing sustainably grown native produce, including Davidson plums and lilly pilly, that regularly feature on our menus.
Drinks with a Purpose
We partner with ethical distillers and winemakers who share our vision for a more sustainable future:
- Beachtree Distillery Co. craft award-winning gin and vodka using native ingredients — with a strong focus on eco-conscious production.
- Our wine list features The Hidden Sea, a South Australian winery that removes plastic from the ocean for every bottle sold.
Locally Sourced
Our onboard menu—including our popular Grazing Boxes—celebrates the flavours of the Sunshine Coast with fresh, local ingredients sourced from trusted producers and growers:
- Kenilworth Dairies – artisan cheeses
- Local fruit shops & farmers markets – seasonal fresh produce
- Sunshine Coast fisheries – the freshest local seafood
- Wild-foraged ingredients – including lemon myrtle and pigface, hand-picked by our team
- Green Valley Finger Limes – bursting with zesty flavour
We source everything with care—minimising food miles and proudly supporting small regional growers and Indigenous enterprises.
Live Music by Local Talent
Our Sunset Cruises are brought to life by the rhythms of local musicians. We feature a diverse lineup of talented Sunshine Coast artists, and when we’re lucky, we host touring musicians passing through the region.
Our ongoing commitment to supporting local talent helps celebrate the rich creative spirit of the Coast — and creates unforgettable live music moments for our guests.
The Saltwater Experience Shop
Our retail space at Saltwater Experiences is filled with thoughtfully curated products from:
- Local artists, designers, and First Nations creators
- Native bush food producers and makers
- Small businesses who share our values of sustainability and culture
Every item tells a story and supports a deeper connection to place.
Art with Cultural Significance
Our team uniforms proudly feature the Shell Middens design by Zartisha Davis, a Kabi Kabi artist whose work honours the rich cultural and environmental history of the Mooloolah waterways we cruise upon.
This artwork is more than just a visual — it’s a statement of respect, storytelling, and connection to the traditional custodians of this land and sea.
Saltwater Freshwater Connection
We are honoured to partner with Undumbi Culture to deliver the first accessible canoe tours to journey into the higher reaches of the traditional lands of their Kabi Kabi ancestors along the Mooloolah River. Undumbi comes from their tribal name within the Kabi Kabi nation. In their language it means salt and freshwater people. Together, we share a common purpose to protect and respect all natural environments whilst building a cultural strong and inclusive community.
Together, We Make it Meaningful
Every collaboration at Saltwater Eco Tours is a choice to uplift community, protect Country, and share culture with care and authenticity. We’re honoured to work alongside such incredible partners — and we thank you for supporting them too.
